Mental health: one year later

A year and a bit ago I opened up about my long history with depression and anxiety. This is what I've been doing over the past year to improve things.

Obviously this is a very personal experience, and this video is not intended to be a thorough introduction to mental health provision. All I'm trying to do with this video is talk through my journey in the hope that it demystifies and destigmatises the treatment of mental health conditions. Please do not take this as medical advice - I'm not that kind of doctor! The only advice that I give in this video is at the end, and I do stand by it: trust that somebody else cares about you, and wants to help.

In this video I talk about my experience seeking medical help, taking anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medication (sertraline), and my experience going to therapy. Something that I should have also mentioned is Notion! As I mentioned in a previous video, using the software has been a fantastic way of feeling like I'm back in control of my life. This obviously isn't something that is medically prescribed, but something that has contributed to improving my mental health nonetheless.
