लोकसभे दरम्यान कॅन्सरशी झुंज देताना भाजपच्या उमेदवाराला 15 हजाराचे मताधिक्य दिले. याच फळ म्हणून मला सांगोल्यात एकटे पाडले का ? शिवसनेचे माजी आमदार शहाजी बापू पाटील यांचा भाजप नेत्यानं भावनिक प्रश्न केला आहे.
सांगोला नगर पालिका निवडणुकीत भाजपने ऐनवेळी शेकाप, राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस सोबत युती करून शिवसेने विरोधात दंड थोपटले आहेत. त्यावर बोलताना शहाजी बापू पाटील यांनी भाष्य केले.
"I supported the BJP candidate, securing a 15,000-vote lead for them even while I was battling cancer. Is this my reward? Am I now being isolated in Sangola?"
Patil's remarks came after the BJP formed a surprise, last-minute alliance with the PWP (Peasants and Workers Party) and the NCP to contest the Sangola Municipal polls, thereby directly challenging the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), Patil's party.
