In this video I introduce zone modules which take the place of a conventional zone, most commonly when a conventional fire alarm panel has been replaced by an addressable one. Unlike regular monitor modules, these devices require 24 volts resettable power because they can power conventional smoke detectors that are UL listed with the module. Examples of this module are the Firelite MMF-302, Notifier FZM-1, Gamewell FCI AMM-4SF, or Silent Knight SK-Zone module.
