Paris Selmer Balanced Action 19A K-Modified SN# 16637 (Circa 1955) Medium Small .450 Bore Overhauled at some point. Excellent Condition. Excellent Player. Horn model choice of Louis Armstrong. SELMER PARIS BALANCED Bb TRUMPET MODEL 19A SN# 16637 Designed by Keith Ecker (for which the K-Modified model gets it's name)
M (.450) THIS IS SPECIAL. IT IS NOT JUST ANOTHER TRUMPET. (Circa 1955) Marked on the leadpipe receiver 19A This was the horn of choice for those like Louis (Satchmo) Armstrong and Harry James. ( Although Harry played the 23A Balanced model) This Selmer model 19A trumpet was made in Paris, France and it has been excellently handled and cared for. After the 1933 Release of the "Armstrong" trumpet the model later became known as "Balanced", and of the model Harry James. Beautifully engraved and constructed, previously owned by a military musician. This Selmer is simply stunning and the value it could have to a working musician/ collector is priceless. This is the 19A model (Louis Armstrong played the 19B at .453). Comes with a ProTec case.
