As a great way to wrap up summer, I took a trip to central Pennsylvania to check out the North Shore and Lycoming Valley railroads.
Day 2 started with catching LVRR-3 as they returned from the NS interchange in Nisbet, PA.
After that, one of LVRR's ex Pittsburgh & Shawmut SW9s was found switching flatcars at High Steel Structures.
Later in the afternoon, I returned to the yard and caught a glimpse of a NS coal train being loaded at the coal pad by front end loader. This is not the same coal train I saw the day before.
Due to time constraints I was limited with which railroads I could railfan, but I hope to go back soon to see what I missed on this trip.
