As a great way to wrap up summer, I took a trip to central Pennsylvania to check out the North Shore and Lycoming Valley railroads.
Day 1 I found myself on the ex Pennsylvania Railroad's Buffalo Line with the North Shore Railroad. First we caught NSHR-1 heading north to the Union County Industrial Railroad with a single covered hopper.
Then it was off to Northumberland to catch some more North Shore and Norfolk Southern trains, including a unit coal train from the Port of Baltimore.
Due to time constraints I was limited with which railroads I could railfan, but I hope to go back soon to see what I missed on this trip.
