About the presenters:
Sophie Lucido Johnson is the author of three books, including Kin: The Future of Family, which comes out on November 11. She is a staff cartoonist for The New Yorker, and has been published in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Believer, and in plenty of other places. She writes the bestselling Substack newsletter “You Are Doing A Good Enough Job”. Sophie lives in Chicago, where she teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and keeps chickens and bees.
Shane DuBow is a veteran writer, editor, and college essay coach with a background in long-form journalism, academia, and museum exhibit design. His work has appeared in a variety of national outlets (National Geographic, The NYT Magazine, This American Life), and he takes great pride in helping writers of all ages find their voice on the page.
