All of us breathe approximately 20.000 times per day – and breathing is an obvious necessity not only for the body but also for the brain. Imagine: magnetic fields “hack” into the nerves that connect the body and brain to create and modulate breathing. Today, the technology has already been proven to create breathing in patients who do not breathe due to their medical condition. Ronja is a visionary medical engineer who has dedicated her career to pioneering technologies that bridge the brain, breath, and body. Imagine using magnetic fields to “hack” into the nerves that control our breathing—potentially revolutionising how we breathe and even enhancing our overall well-being. With 15 patents filed to her name, Ronja’s innovations are set to transform therapies in leading clinics worldwide. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
