Taking A BIG Risk Planting The Peppers In The Polytunnel | Allotment Gardening UK

Sometimes you have to take a risk in life. The same goes for gardening. I'm taking a huge risk at the allotment this week by planting my peppers in the polytunnel.
Why is it a risk? well, it's mid April, and the nights are still a tad bit cold.

But I think it's justifiable. The pepper plants were suffering at home under the grow lights with edema and needed potting on desperately - which I had no space to do!
So the decision was made, to bring them down to the plot and plant them in the polytunnel raised beds. Horticultural fleece over the top for extra protection.
