6th international simposium in Scareno's alps (Val grande, Verbania Piemont) and Venice Lagoon 11-22th of August 2025

Il progetto "Dalle Cime alle Isole" (11-22 agosto 2025), guidato dall'artista g. olmo stuppia, coinvolge studenti e mentori per esplorare il paesaggio come architettura viva. In collaborazione con università e istituzioni, il gruppo lavora nel borgo semi-abitato di Scareno (Verbania), studiando le foreste che metaforicamente hanno costruito Venezia. Tra i mentori c’è Nicola Capone, filosofo e attivista, che con la sua visione sul "Diritto a Scareno e Venezia" arricchisce il progetto, riflettendo sui beni comuni e il rapporto tra ambiente e comunità. La Zattera della Medusa, scultura simbolica, unisce materiali locali e tecnologia per creare una forma che dialoga con la tradizione veneziana e le problematiche contemporanee come l'overtourism e la sostenibilità. Il progetto culmina con un rituale ecologico di purificazione, in cui la zattera viene bruciata in Laguna, lasciando un segno di speranza e riflessione sul nostro futuro.

The project "From the Peaks to the Islands" (August 11-22, 2025), led by artist g. olmo stuppia, involves students and mentors exploring the landscape as a living architecture. In collaboration with universities and institutions, the group works in the semi-abandoned village of Scareno (Verbania), studying the forests that metaphorically built Venice. Among the mentors is Nicola Capone, philosopher and activist, whose vision on "The Right to Scareno and Venice" enriches the project, reflecting on common goods and the relationship between environment and community. The Raft of Medusa, a symbolic sculpture, combines local materials and technology to create a form that dialogues with Venetian tradition and contemporary issues such as overtourism and sustainability. The project culminates with an ecological purification ritual, where the raft is burned in the Lagoon, leaving a sign of hope and reflection on our future.
