Why These Bangladeshi Hindu Widows Fled Dhaka | Surviving on ₹50 a Day in West Bengal | HSF

Rina Mitro and her daughter Priyanka Dey are Bangladeshi Hindu widows who were forced to flee their home near Dhaka two years ago due to rising persecution and fear. They escaped empty-handed, leaving behind their home, belongings, and a lifetime of memories—only to save their lives.

Today, they live in Gunjariya Islampur, West Bengal, just a few kilometers from the Bangladesh border. With no elder male member in the family and no stable support system, both mother and daughter struggle daily to survive.

To feed themselves, they do spice packing work for a local shopkeeper, earning only ₹50–₹70 per day—an amount that is barely enough for one meal, let alone rent, healthcare, or dignity.

This video is not just about hardship.
It is about resilience, silent strength, and the ground reality of Bangladeshi Hindu refugees in India—people who escaped persecution but are still waiting for security, stability, and acceptance.
