This is how much range my VW Id.7 Pro lost in 2 Years (29.000 km, 18.000 miles)

In this video, I’m doing my 2-year battery degradation test with my VW ID.7, repeating the exact same test method I used when the car was new and after the first year.

🔋 I charge to 100%, then drive at a constant 113 km/h (110 km/h GPS) to minimize heat losses and get a realistic picture of usable battery capacity.
❄️ Winter conditions, preheated battery, identical setup – all for a fair comparison.

After the drive, I calculate the usable kWh, compare it to year 1 and year 0, and then continue with a DC fast charging test starting at 7% SoC to see if charging performance has changed after 2 years and a recent software update (5.6.3).

📉 Result: Only ~0.33% difference – effectively no usable capacity loss after 2 years.
