If you're a financial wholesaler, chances are you've experienced calendar envy at one time or another. My name is Mitch Santala, the CEO of Executive Scheduling Associates, a North American scheduling firm supporting financial professionals like you who help families secure their financial futures. Today I'm gonna talk about calendar envy, what it is and how to cure it. So, what is calendar envy? Calendar envy is the feeling of discontented longing aroused by someone else's possession of a quality calendar. So, here's how you know if you have calendar envy. Are you jealous of another wholesaler's calendar? Are you resentful of someone else who has four to five meetings per day when you struggle to get two to three? Are you bitter at another salesperson who goes into their weekend restful because their calendar's scheduled two to three weeks out, while you're stressed about the holes in your upcoming week? If so, then you may have calendar envy. The good news is that calendar envy can be cured.
One way to cure it is by partnering with an appointment-setting service that does the following. The first thing is you want an appointment-setting service that insists on your 90-day rotation. Now, I know initially, you may react to that statement because insisting on a 90-day rotation requires work on your part as a financial wholesaler. However, the more consistent you can plan with your scheduler or your appointment setting service on setting a 90-day rotation, the further out they're gonna be able to book you because they know where you wanna be, and when you wanna be there based on geography and zones and navigating on different focuses that you might have. And this leads to our second point, which is, you wanna partner with an appointment-setting service that uses alternate date scheduling. Now, alternate date scheduling is only possible when you have utilized your 90-day rotation, because when you're scheduling those when and where you want to be, then they can offer alternate dates in setting up an appointment.
And it's always easier to secure an appointment when you have two dates available. So, rather than yes or no, the option is either/or. And if for some reason your appointment setter is booking you for next week or the week out and that office is already booked or not able to take the appointment, then it's easy to offer the alternate date. Well, my client's gonna be back in your territory in six weeks or eight weeks, how about we book that meeting then? The minute they say yes, you're now beginning to build your calendar out two to three weeks out with four to five appointments a day, and you too can go into your weekend resting without thinking about the holes coming up in your next work week.
