The lead song on this album has an amazing title. “O What A Love” is a thought that permeates our minds and our soul and feeds our
aspiration to praise the Lord with all that lies within us.
I am sure that God was pleased when a song was written with this thought in mind and when this song was used as the title song on
this album. You will also find here many other fine songs that will demand the undivided attention of all who hear them. Songs 'that will
bless thousands.
In this day of fast changing standards, when morals are on a rampant decline, when the Bible itself is being questioned and diluted by
supposedly educated men — a great challenge has arisen for every child of God. The challenge is in the pulpit for preachers to man the
pulpit and “preach the word” with greater determination than ever before. The challenge is in the marketplace, the factory, the office, and
even in the streets for Christian laymen to be the light of the world by practice and their voices to be directed by the Holy Spirit. I have
also found a great challenge in the gospel singing circles across our land.
I am so thankful that we have some preachers who are preaching the gospel, some laymen who are still living and witnessing for
Christ, and some gospel singing groups who are meeting the challenge in the singing ranks. I consider the Tonesmen to be among the
leaders in keeping gospel singing what it should be. Their dedication to the task and the sincerity exercised in carrying out their task has
made them the soul winning organization they are.
Talent is given by God and sharpened by hard work and dedication of man. The equalization of the talent of the group is
outstanding. Each member compliments the other and, in so doing, produces a sound that is pleasing and a blessing to everyone.
It is my privilege to have known the Tonesmen and to introduce them to you, the listener, and lam sure their singing will find its
way into your heart.
