Pumpkin & Chocolate Marble Bread With Brown Butter is the ultimate fall treat
Combines nutty, caramelized butter with earthy pumpkin & rich chocolate. Rich, moist, and full of warm autumn flavor🍂🎃.
Ingredients :
100g brown butter
190g brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp oil
1tsp vanilla extract
200g plain yogurt
275g pumpkin puree
300g plain flour
Pinch salt
6g baking soda
2g baking powder
1tsp cinnamon
30g cocoa powder
40g chocolate chips
Baking tin 2lb
Method
1- brown the butter : in saucepan over medium heat, melt the 110g butter. Continue cooking, swirling the pan occasionally, until it turns golden brown and smells nutty about 5min.
Pour into a bowl and let cool slightly
2- preheat the oven at 175C. Grease & line loaf tin
3- in a large bowl whisk together the brown butter, sugar, eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract & yogurt.
4- add the dry ingredients to the wet : gently fold until just combined
5- make the chocolate batter : transfer half of the pumpkin batter into bowl add the cocoa powder & gently fold
7- marble it : alternate spoonful of pumpkin batter & chocolate batter in the tin
Swirl gently with knife or skewer for a marble look & add chocolate chips on top
8- bake : 55-65 min or until toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean .
Cool in the baking tin for 10-15min then transfer to a rack.
