My First Real Bloom Pleat | Fluid Art Tutorial | Let's Get Started

Well...I seem to be having enough fun with Bloom Transfers that I want to figure out these freakin' Pleats. I tried them before, but knew I wasn't going about them the right way, so this time I got smart and contacted ‪@Sheleeart‬ to get some pointers, and to talk out what I thought I was doing incorrectly.

As you can see, this one didn't come out quite right. The rudiments are there, but I'm pretty sure what I'm still not doing quite right. Practice is what I need! So...the next few videos will be me practicing. I think that it's important for people to see that I don't just walk up to my table and sling some paint around and WALLA...results. NOBODY does that. It's not every day that there's something that sparks my interest enough to really want to get good at it. I know I'm behind, getting interested in this...it's SOOOOOOO 2025. Whatever. I'm a slow bloomer. It's okay! Never avoid doing something just because you're late to the party. Revive the freakin' party.

Liquitex Basics Cadmium Red Deep Hue
Golden Cobalt Blue
Golden Prussian Blue
Golden Quinacridone Crimson + Blick Fluid Lamp Black
Golden Micaceous Iron Oxide + Liquitex Basics Dioxazine Purple

PM:
Sherwin Williams Infinity Base C In Semi-Gloss, Varathane Triple Thick Water-based Gloss Polyeurathane mixed 2:1 paint to varnish. Add water if needed for consistency.

CA:
Amsterdam Naples Yellow Light + Amsterdam Warm Grey
Old Holland Iridescent Rich Gold
1.5 (ish) part Australian Floetrol to 1 part paint.
