The true meaning of the history of this song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight” (Wimoweh), is exactly what it says! The lions will NOT attack the village tonight and take away one of their family members. The song was brought over from South Africa, in the early 60’s by Pete Seeger, and since then it has been recorded by many performers such as the Tokens, etc.. In my recording I tried to bring the true sounds of how it felt to sleep at night in FEAR in one of those villages that the lions were constantly stalking.
