In this brewing video, we show you how to make a hoppy lager using Nelson Sauvin hops. This is a low abv light lager that we're making to take to a friend's wedding. We're brewing it in honor of their two old cats that are known to pee everywhere, so we're calling this a Cat Piss Wedding Lager. However, catty is also a beer term that can describe good and bad flavors. We're obviously going for a good catty flavor that is similar to blackcurrant juice. This beer is going to get its light, easy-drinking, and dry body from a grain bill consisting of pale malt, acid malt, flaked corn and flaked rice. We mash these at a lower temperature than usual in order to extract more fermentable sugars from them.
