A devastating fire destroys the iconic Lobster Pot restaurant at Portland Bill 1992. In fact, after it was rebuilt there was a second fire. This popular cafe was then totally rebuilt to a very high standard, with solar panels, green energy and superb facilities. The situation is unique, by the rocky cliffs, in the shadow of the famous Portland Lighthouse, and is enjoyed by thousands of visitors and locals every year.
