This video looks at creating a basic model inside Maya and then take this model into 3D-Coat. Here I edit the geometry and create a new UV Map. I briefly look at using smart materials inside the Paint Room, then export the final model back into Maya. The main aim of the video is to show the workflow between these two apps, there are 3DC App-Link plugins which automate this process, but here I introduce a basic pipeline which respects the scale and dimensions of the original model.
