It’s February on the farm and this episode of (Not) Straker's Farm delves into the beautiful world of milk. I joined Daylesford Stockman Sean Jones at 6am to help milk the 106-strong organic dairy herd. And it was great - even though my favourite hat got covered in poo… I caught up with Farm Director Richard Smith to find out what separates an organic dairy cow from your run-of-the-mill cow when it comes to productivity and ethics, and then I dropped into the creamery - just 10 metres from the cow sheds - to make some cheese and pick cheddar for a delicious and simple cook: broccoli cheese.
