New 2026 Honda Pilot facelift officially revealed - Walkaround and Interior

The 2026 Honda Pilot receives a substantial update, reinforcing its position in the three-row SUV segment. The refreshed model brings more standard technology, improved driving feel, enhanced refinement, and tweaked styling to broaden its appeal — both to families and those who value a bit of SUV ruggedness.

On the styling front, the exterior now presents a more assertive face: a larger, squarer grille and chunkier front bumper give the Pilot a stronger visual presence, aligning even the non-off-road trims more closely with the tougher-looking TrailSport variant. New paint colours and revised finishes also refresh the lineup’s appearance.

Inside, the technology and comfort upgrades are significant. A 12.3-inch central touchscreen becomes standard across all trims, paired with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, 5G Wi-Fi capability and a re-worked user interface bring the Pilot up to date. On the refinement side, Honda has improved steering feel via a retuned electric power-steering system and reduced cabin noise through upgraded glass and additional insulation.

Feature availability has also broadened: what were previously higher-trim options have now migrated into more mainstream trim levels. For example, the base Sport trim now includes a power tailgate; roof rails become standard on EX-L; and safety tech such as post-collision braking is now standard across the board. The rugged TrailSport trims further gain things like heated rear outboard seats and a new brown leather interior option with orange stitching.

Under the hood, no changes: the same 3.5-litre V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission continue for 2026. All-wheel drive remains standard on higher trims and optional on the others. Though the powertrain remains untouched, driving dynamics and refinement improvements aim to make the Pilot feel more polished.

The refreshed Pilot is expected to reach dealerships in December 2025 for the 2026 model year, with pricing slightly higher than the previous version’s starting point.
