How Luka Doncic's Mavericks Career Ended Unexpectedly

Luka Doncic, 5x All NBA Member, 5 time All Star, last year's scoring champ, recently made the NBA Finals for the first time ever, one of the best players in the NBA, and most importantly, looking to become the best Dallas Maverick to ever wear the jersey. Oh wait, on February 1st 2025, Nico Harrison GM of the Dallas Mavericks would become public enemy #1 of the Dallas area and trade away Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 1st round pick to now play with Lebron James! Why? Due to conditioning and not wanting to commit to one of the best players of our generation long term. I don’t think he will understand what he just did and just how this’ll effect the NBA landscape as you gave the most storied franchise in this league it’s next headliner for a decade and what will be possibly created from this. But the real question is, just what created this trade in the first place. Luka Doncic just brought the Mavs back to the finals for the first time since 2011, given the Mavericks a fighting chance every year he’s been in the league, and has smashed almost every expectation put on him and then some. So how can he just be thrown away just like that and without any warning.
