So you treat people that have pigmented gums that have different colors?
Absolutely. Gums are just like our skin. They can have pigmentation, and most people don't know about it. It just gives a very interesting, strange appearance to the oral cavity. It kind of makes things look dark. And the teeth don't stand out, so there's a lot of darkness in the mouth. So the patient will come in and say, I just don't like something and my teeth don't stand out. I don't know what it is.

And the first thing I tell them, I say, have you ever noticed that you have dark spots on your gums? Well, yes, I've noticed it, but I thought I really couldn't do anything about it. I was told before that this is just how I am because of my darker skin or because of my origin, but I didn't know I can do something about it. And they tell me, what if I told you there is a procedure as simple as microderm abrasion for your skin? Yes, I know. What is microderm abrasion? You can do for your gums and you can instantly get rid of the pigment in your mouth.
Really? Yeah.

So, like, you could give somebody nice pink gums?
Yeah, absolutely. You can totally eradicate all of the dark pigment, and the patient immediately sees how pink and nice the gums get, and they right away notice that their teeth stand out, that their smile looks different.

Really? And this is a fairly easy procedure?
It's one of the easiest procedures we have.
Takes about an hour, couple of hours?
I would say it takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Many times.
Really? Yeah. Do you ever see people out and about with their pigmented gums? And you're saying, Boy, this is such a quick fix.

Yeah, I absolutely see this. I have a patient that had no idea she had it. I mentioned it to her and she said I had no clue I could get it fixed. She got it done. It was a very easy procedure. And all of a sudden she became a selfie fanatic.

Now what about dramatic discolored gums? Lots of different colors, dark.
Those are just as easy. It really doesn't make a difference if it's a little bit or it's a lot. It's just a very simple, fast way, and it's pretty much done right away.
