Magnificent Melbourne bike trails - Banyule, Plenty River and Diamond Creek trail

This ride combines 3 trails east of the City. Starting in Watsonia I follow the Banyule trail for a few km until it merges with the Main Yarra Trail. A few more km's east, the Plenty River trails starts with quite a descent ascent to Viewbank and then follows the winding Plenty River upstream. North of Greensborough the trail ends in the middle of nowhere. To bridge the gap I turn towards the Plenty River Drive which merges with Diamond Creek Road (some quite steep ascents along this segment !!) In Diamond Creek I follow the trail down south until it crosses the Yarra and merges with the Main Yarra Trail.
