Sakamoto Days was set to be the next huge battle shonen anime as soon as its earlier chapters achieved global popularity because of how incredible its fights and choreography were. After Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and Demon Slayer, Sakamoto Days was the next big name up. Given how great the anime adaptations for Shonen Jump titles have been recently with Undead Unluck, The Elusive Samurai, and Dandadan, I was expecting Sakamoto Days to receive a similar treatment. The anime for Sakamoto Days came pretty late in terms of how much the manga has progressed, especially since manga that came after it had received an anime adaptation before it. Given the timeframe, I was thinking Sakamoto Days had gone to a big name studio who was carefully crafting a masterpiece for every action enthusiast, ensuring a good production schedule and making sure the end product is nothing less than stellar. Although TMS didn't have the strongest track record when it came to action anime, but if the schedule was right, then Sakamoto Days could still be a masterpiece of an adaptation. I wasn't very worried about Netflix either since Netflix has been doing pretty well when it comes to streaming new anime on its platform. Then...the anime for Sakamoto Days came out and it was none of that. Let's talk about it.
