This time our plan was to trek for Vaishnodevi Temple..but we thought to explore some nearby places in Katra / Jammu in addition to Vaishnodevi.
One of the nearest best place from Jammu is Patnitop, which is around 110 Kms from Jammu Airport. During March, chances of snow was high. We were lucky to witness snow in Natha Top..a place only 14Km away from Patnitop. Patnitop is a worth seeing spot in Jammu, surrounded by snow clad mountains, green valleys and a pleasant cold weather in March (9-12 degree C).
We stayed in J&K Tourism, Hotel Alpine, booked through their website (www,jktdc.co.in). Though the hotel was having basic facilities, but the location of the hotel was good. Besides Tourism hotels, there are many good Private hotels also.
We enjoyed snow in Natha top.
