On April 28, 2020 UIC Dean Clark Stanford DDS, PhD, MHA had a conversation with Dr. Terri Tiersky DDS, JD, President of the Chicago Dental Society. The thirty minute conversation covered topics about the concerns of CDS members, the CDS visions for future of dental continuing education, thoughts and concepts about how we can return to practice with an emphasis on the safety to our patients, staff, students and ourselves. The conversation wrapped as they discussed how we can land this great profession of dentistry through a COVID “thunderstorm” with its updrafts, downdrafts, calms and violent shutters. The message, together, we will make it!
