(Filmed 7/18/25) Happy New Year, and welcome to 2026! This is going to be a big year for me and my channel! To start this year off, I'm going to show you something truly unique that, amongst the elevator enthusiasts on YouTube, only I have seen and filmed. This is a sample elevator at Colorado Custom Elevator & Lift's manufacturing facility in Grand Junction. This is a residential-grade elevator that has a glass cab and 2 types of car and hoistway doors (one of them is three-speed, you know, because I've never seen one of those doors before). This allows you to see all of the functionality of a typical residential elevator, to see how it works. This appears to be an MRL hydro, and was installed in 2021.
In fact, most of the elevators that Colorado Custom Elevator & Lift installs are residential elevators, which are all made in-house. The base layer for each car is plywood, and then they each get different cab styles. If I find another residential elevator somewhere else, I'll post it here on my channel.
