ACTIVATING SPIRITUAL SIGHT BY PR. ROGERS AGENDA

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;” Luke 4:18 NKJV*

Jesus’ six-fold mandate had the recovery of sight. This wasn’t about physical blindness but dealing with spiritual blindness.

Since inception, it’s always been a battle for sight. In Genesis 3:1-10, the enemy persuaded Eve and Adam to eat of the fruit so that they may see but this was connected to sin.

Prior to the fall, sight was connected to the Glory of God. But the focus changed from the glory of God to the cares of this world.

“Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2 NKJV

People willing to continually dwell in the presence of God will have sight.

Consider a solar panel. It absorbs light during day with a mandate to translate this heat/light into light/heat energy in the dark.

““You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14 NKJV

Light has Dimensions;
1) Light can be seen as a revelation of truth. (Psalms 119:130) The entrance of His words brings light. Eat the word for transformation that is line upon line.

2) Jesus is the second dimension.
Continuous encounters with Jesus activate sight.

Saul’s encounter with Jesus in Acts 9, activated his spiritual sight causing great impact in the spreading of the gospel.
