This pocket notebook is (slowly) replacing my phone

I've developed some strange habits over the years. Taking this pocket notepad everywhere with me is the strangest. While it is impossible for something like this to totally replace my phone, in other ways it is doing just that. What could this little notepad possibly offer that my phone doesn't?
