RULES OF THE PLAYTHROUGH
Natural Sphere Grid Paths
Each party member must follow only their own path on the Expert Sphere Grid until Braska’s Final Aeon is defeated.
This restriction applies to both abilities and stat boosts.
Post-Game Expansion
After defeating Braska’s Final Aeon, characters may branch into other Sphere Grid paths.
They may gain stats from other paths, but cannot learn new abilities unless absolutely necessary for progression.
Stat Boosting Spheres
Stat-boosting spheres (Strength, Magic, HP, etc.) cannot be added until progress in the post-game is blocked without them.
Abilities Restriction
Abilities from other characters’ paths may only be unlocked if absolutely required to continue in the post-game.
Kimahri Exception
Kimahri may:
Use the entire Sphere Grid once his natural (smaller) path is complete.
Learn the first ability of every companion when they join (e.g., Lulu’s basic spells, Rikku’s Steal, Yuna’s Cure).
Collect all stat-boosting spheres once his path is finished.
Blitzball Rule
Only the original Besaid Aurochs team is allowed, plus Wakka once he rejoins.
Random Encounters
Fleeing or escaping from random encounters is not allowed.
Boosters
Turbo Speed: Allowed in moderation.
Auto-Battle: Allowed.
Encounter Rate Adjuster: Allowed only in the post-game.
No Encounters: Only allowed when naturally obtained through equipment abilities.
