If you have limited hip internal rotation, sometimes no amount of attempting to activate this area works.
What I usually do in these cases is:
1. A proper warm up
2. Release work
3. Stretches as demonstrated
4. Only then do we move onto isometrics & reps in these ranges to work the new range of motion you have just accessed.
