What is Cylinder Chamfer and What Does it Do? Good question right? I am sure a lot of you already know, but for those that don't know... here is a video for you! Learning something new is always a good thing...
Do you ever ask yourself "what is that for?" or "how do they do that?" I do all the time when working with Jimmy. Early on when I started learning how to build engines, I asked a lot of questions. One thing I saw early on that I did not fully understand was the chamfer on the top of the cylinders. So as usual, I asked Jimmy and the shut my mouth and listened. In this video I explain two reasons it is there and a DIY method of adding the chamfer to the cylinders for all you home engine builders.
