Sewing a "Prairie" Dress (And Pumpkin Picking!)

In my quest for the perfect costume-meets-clothing pieces, I have gone back in time- literally. Remember when flowing dresses with puffed sleeves and floral prints were a thing? (Hello, 1980s and 90s!) Well, those pioneer/Victorian/Edwardian-inspired dresses are back! The "cottagecore" and "prairiecore" aesthetics highlight the romantic, rustic, and downright prettiness of these styles. As a gal who wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder for most of her childhood, I admit that I'm excited! :) I had to find a way to replicate the looks and customize them to my own ideals! Here is my adventure...
