Our previous vinyl or PVC BBQ covers were destroyed by freezing rain and high winds over the winter. So we ordered the Duck Covers BBQ cover at walmart.ca (not in stores) for $34 CDN. It is claimed to be a waterproof and breathable synthetic fabric. Whether it is durable enough for a Canadian winter remains to be seen, but we needed to get something on the Q before winter and didn't want to spend another $50-70 on an old school cover that we already know won't cut it. I'll post my findings in the comments. If it lasted two years I'd be happy.
