I’ve gone and done it!!! I have built my first ever studio scale replica filming miniature/prop. A number of these pods carrying probe droids can be seen at the start of Empire Strikes Back shooting off into different corners of the galaxy in bid to find the Rebels. The original prop was built by ILM using various model kits as discussed in the previous video. Two versions were used in the production and this is “long “ version. Sometimes referred to as the 223 after the 8-rad German armoured vehicle from which the prop is based on. This video explores the whole build and all the parts required to complete it.
