2 Track Railway Crossing To Be No Train Horn Zone & Railroad Crossing Abandonment 2019! Ohio Trains

Shocking Development! Busy railroad crossing being converted to no train horn zone! Railroad crossing to be abandoned and pedestrian railroad crossing to be relocated next to the main crossing. Fences will be installed along the CSX main line and the crossing will be quad style crossing gates. Signs will also say no train horn zone. The Albion Avenue railroad crossing will close as part of this project. CSX owns this line and Norfolk Southern shares it. It is primarily directional running tracks with most trains going north while a nearby NS line runs mostly south bound trains. This is Glendale, Ohio which is a small city just north of Cincinnati. Amtrak also uses this line. 8-28-17 is when Glendale Village Council approved the ordinance to create the quiet zone. I made a video back then about this after I talked to the mayor. Railfans are not happy about this at all. Photography will be ruined with the fences and of course, what is a train without a horn? I will still eat at Cock N Bull restaurant on the 2nd floor balcony at my favorite table next to the tracks but will the railfans still flock to this location? This video was filmed June 3, 2019 and I included all the trains that I saw that day except for one. The last day for train horns is January 10, 2020. Thanks for watching!
