This is a topic that I feel is least understood by many amateur astronomers in the hobby and those looking up. Understanding Seeing and Transparency and how they impact observing can make or break someone in the hobbby. Do you ever get frustrated because galaxies and nebula have no detail and no contrast and your collimated and ready to go? Have you ever wanted to look at the planets or the moon and double stars and find their is no detail? This video and post will share with you how to determine what to observe based on conditions, how to recognize great seeing or great transparency and then to maximize the eyepieces and their eye relief to help you to see the most out of your observing session.
