It’s been a while since I last made a commodore 64 video. This time it’s about building a Sixtyclone, a replica of the original C64 motherboard with all new components (almost). This time I do the soldering. This board has a lot of SIF sockets and the main purpose of this board is to use it as a tool to fix my other C64’s. So this is really a start on a long series where I will be fixing all my old C64’s. Back in the day a worked as a technician on Commodore equipment and I have a lot of experience, but the kind of faults that happens to the old C64’s has changed with age so I will have to do some adaption of my routines to find out what’s wrong. To build this machine I have dug deep into my parts bin, and also bought some new modern replacement parts. I also build a small RF modulator replacement as part of this video. #C64 #Commodore #Sixtyclone
