What gives you security? Things change beyond our control - our bodies deteriorate as we grow, the people we know come and go, we experience highs and lows at any given moment. We try to hold on to what we can while we still live.

And then we inevitably die, perhaps hoping that we did enough to be “good enough” for God. Or blindly hoping that you’ll just cease to exist after you die.

But there’s such security and guarantee now and in the future, by knowing and being united with the faithful, unchanging God. The guarantee of being in God’s presence for eternity, singing “yet not I, but through Christ in me”.

I hope you enjoy reminiscing with me, as I sing this good news to you with joy and thanksgiving :)
