Hey everyone!
In this video, Joey and I take to the White Mountains in Thornton, NH to do a little fly fishing for some brook trout. Our method for this is really quite simple: drive around until we find a good looking brook and then hike a couple miles up while fishing. Although most of the trout aren't big, the colors are really what make it worth while. We have found that pretty much all the brooks in this area have fish and you can catch an abundance in a couple miles of hiking. All these trout are catch and release and we make sure to leave the brook as untouched as we possibly can.
We have found that the best way to fish for brookies is a dry-dropper rig usually with an Elk Hair Caddis. Most of the time, the trout will hit the dry fly, but on some occasions they will take the dropper which makes for a good time.
