Dire qualcosa sui Radiohead che non sia già stato detto da altri è piuttosto complicato.
Sono uno dei tanti che quando ha sentito per la prima volta The Bends ha detto "o mio dio ma è bellissimo", che quando ha sentito per la prima volta Ok Computer ha detto "o mio dio ma è bellissimo", che quando ha sentito Kid A ha detto "o mio dio ma è bellissimo" (e continuerebbe così per la maggior parte della loro discografia).

La cosa che più mi ha colpito non sta "semplicemente" nel loro stile, nel loro approccio alla canzone, agli strumenti e all'orchestrazione. È sì tutto questo, ma è soprattutto l'applicazione di questi fattori nel corso della loro carriera in modo estremamente variegato.

C'è proprio da dire che, nel loro caso, la quantità è direttamente proporzionale alla qualità.

How To Disappear Completely è un brano che nel titolo dice tutto e non c'è altro da fare che ascoltarla.

Saying something about Radiohead that hasn’t already been said is pretty hard.

I'm one of those people who, when they first heard The Bends, thought, "Wow, this is incredible." Then OK Computer came along, and it was the same reaction: "Wow, this is incredible." And then Kid A... yep, same thing. And honestly, I could keep going like this for most of their discography.

What impresses me the most isn’t just their style, their approach to songwriting, instruments, or orchestration. It’s all of that, yes, but more than anything, it’s how they’ve applied these elements in such a varied way throughout their career.

With them, quantity and quality really do go hand in hand.

How To Disappear Completely says it all in the title—there’s nothing left to do but listen.
