Pope Francis visited his 90-year-old cousin, Carla Rabezzana, to celebrate her birthday and had lunch with other relatives and friends. He then visited a nursing home and greeted residents and staff, expressing his appreciation for their wisdom and patience.
Later, he visited another cousin in a different town and spent time talking with her and her neighbors in their kitchen. The Pope stayed at the bishop's residence and did not return to Rome that day.
