Holy SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!
There is no doubt this bird is a Brown booby, but in the heat of the moment, we are trying to rule out all possibilities before we claim that this is a BB, since it is the third record for Sweden and thus a hyperrarity. The bird is referred to as "gannet" a few times, simply because booby and gannet are both called "sula" in Swedish, and we needed a name for it while working on it.
The bird should be a first cycle, i.e. hatched in dec 2023 - feb 2024 or so, due to plumage and some wear/moult on secondaries.
