Game Devs Are Lying To You
Sometimes a little lie is needed to keep the player happy or engaged, but it can also be used for more sinister reasons. In this video, I explain how gacha games like Genshin Impact and p2e or play to earn games like Axie Infinity lie to their players to make more of a profit. Lies in games also exist in more subtle matters to help the player like in XCOM or Celeste.
