Hello!
This is Part 3 of my 75 gallon hillstream tank build. In this video I show you the final steps involved in completing this project. Specifically, I attach the 2 powerheads and set up my heater as well as scape and fill the tank. I was able to grab a lot of stuff from the old 55 gallon tank where this tank's inhabitants will be moved from.
I am currently setting up the tank as a hillstream (fast flowing) style biotope to simulate the natural conditions in which these fish are found in the wild. Although it is possible to keep hillstream loaches in community aquariums at tropical temperatures, they seem to be more active in a fast flow environment with cooler water, in which they have evolved specific adaptations to live.
The manifold will be used for circulation and also filtration of this aquarium.
