Info: Towards the later half of 2025, Foo Fighters have been celebrating their 30th anniversary with a variety of secret shows in the US with their new drummer, Ilan Rubin, who I don't actually know much about, but going by these recent showings, he's a great drummer and I'm very excited to see where he goes next with the band. A couple of days ago (as of October 5th 2025) the band released a special EP with a select few songs from these secret shows. So, I'm going to upload them, assuming YouTube will allow it. We don't know exactly which shows these recordings are from I don't think but they're very nice regardless. I won't be putting this descriptor in all of the videos, but I figured I should for this one.

Anyway, onto the song itself. Alone + Easy Target is one of the earliest Foo tracks around. Officially released as part of the debut self-titled album in July of 1995, it goes back even further, having appeared on the 1994 demo tape of the debut, and has roots in 1992. Dave explained in the 2014 Sonic Highways documentary series that he once played a demo of the song for Kurt, who loved the song, and apparently Nirvana did jam on it a couple of times in a handful of soundchecks. It's one of my favourites from the debut album, and prior to 2025, was last played in 2018 at a secret show in the parking lot of The Hollywood Palladium.
