Formula Karting Strand Mall Kota Damansara Go Karting | SODI RT10 Hotlap [4K/50FPS]

Feel the roar and slide onboard the SODI RT10 go kart, as we take you on a lap around Formula Karting Strand Mall's indoor karting track. It's a fantastic experience to do a good lap around here, the track is technically tricky with lots of room to slide the kart around.

The SODI RT10 is equipped with the Honda GX270cc 4 stroke engine. It's one of the more premium branded rental karts to drive, and it really lives up to the thrilling experience of go-karting. The steering wheel mimics the F1-style of steering wheels, and its minimalism does help keep the eye-focus on the track more.

Formula Karting did a good job setting up the karts, they felt lively enough around the sharp corners of the circuit, although from my experience they lean towards an understeering characteristic somewhere during the mid corners. Meaning more turn in should be used, which might snap to an oversteer from the slippery surface. The throttle response was good, and at peak power these karts can go really fast down the straights.

The track is located on the upper floor carpark, this is probably one of the easier indoor go kart tracks to attempt in Malaysia. Yet it still has some challenging corners that requires good courage at high speeds and karting control when it slides.

The track surface is smooth all round, and its the typical indoor carpark surface which make it slippery. It's quite wide for an indoor track, allowing more overtakes and forgiving for mistakes. The grip is definitely much reduced at some areas due to the slippery surface, hence the go kart does slide around when on full throttle at the corners.

Kart control is key, being able to balance between both understeer and oversteer which can happen simultaneously. Fast times around here are lower than the 43s, while a good average time is around 47 to 49 seconds, where you can do around 11 to 12 laps per 10 minute session.

Take note, the racing line can be quite tight which would benefit if you have good spatial awareness of the kart and its distance to the barriers, to avoid clipping it.
