Dr Anna Richards presented ‘Models for interpreting ecosystem change’ as part of the RIEL Seminar Series on 8 November 2024 in Darwin, Australia.
Anna is a plant and soil ecologist and senior research scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). She has a broad interest in ecosystem management – particularly how the science of vegetation and soil dynamics, along with land management practices, can be used to better monitor, evaluate and forecast ecosystem condition.
In the seminar ‘Models for interpreting ecosystem change’, Anna describes the models and their application to understanding how different land management actions alter ecosystem characteristics and the values and benefits that flow from them.
The RIEL Seminar Series presents exciting new research findings and updates on environmental sciences from February to November. Find out more about our upcoming seminars on our seminars page https://www.cdu.edu.au/riel/seminars
